Rutgers won their Big East opener against #4 Louisville behind the efforts of three Baseball U Alumni.

Winning pitcher Rob Smorol pitched 7 strong innings picking up the win in the 6-2 victory. Vinny Zarrillo was 3-4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI and Junior Lou Clemente was 3-5 with 2 RBI’s at the plate sparking the offense.

Zarrillo is leading the team in hits and is second in batting with a .381 batting average.
