Prospective players should meet the following criteria.

Are you one of the better baseball players in your graduation year on your team?

Are you willing to work hard and make yourself a better player every pitch?

Are you willing to accept if you join Baseball U you may no longer be the best player on your team?

Can you accept that baseball is a game of failure and you will fail more than you succeed?

Do you want to play baseball in college?

John Wells director of Baseball U is a current Associate Scout with the Houston Astros. During his years in coaching he has coached over 130 players who have played professional baseball. Many of those players have since gone on to become college coaches themselves.

His coaching career started in 1987 and in 2000 and 2001 became the first coach in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League to win back to back titles in his first and only two years as a head coach.

He coached players from such national powerhouse schools as USC, Clemson, Tulane, Florida, Wake Forest, Miami and many more during his two years in the ACBL. His relationships with the colleges carried over to his 8 years as an assistant to the perennial national contenders Brookdale Community College a member of Junior College baseball. He helped Brookdale to 5 Junior College World Series in those 8 years as a coach.

Since he founded Baseball U the organization has built a reputation amongst college coaches as having one of the top national programs in the country.

21 Players have been drafted since 2007 and more than 120 players have gone on to play college baseball on some form of a scholarship.

Interested players should be willing to work hard and learn the game the college way.
