Hot Stove Off Season News

1/25/2011-
UVA has been added to the strong list of colleges attending the Baseball U Winter Workouts. Coach McMullen the Associate Head Coach at UVA will be in attendance working with infielders and hitters. UVA has become one of the top programs in the country over the past 4 years.

Baseball U has received 6 commitments that are nationally ranked by Perfect Game.
Four of these players have committed to a college even though they are only 2012
graduates. All four of them will be playing in the ACC and SEC. One other player is
a high follow and has committed to a school as well.

Several other players who will be playing on the Prospect Team are ranked as high follows.

Baseball U has started a spring team to compiment a middle school player's season. The team is a weekend only team that's foucs is on practice to develop a players skills. Over 80 players attended the pre-season meeting in Fairfield, CT on December 15th. Pat Vigilio the U New England Director and Associate Scout for the Kansas City Royals explained the program to Baseball U interested hopefuls.

The entire college recruiting process was explained to parents and players in attendance. The New England program is entering their 3^rd season in 2011.
